Following the clashes that broke out after the death of leader of the Palestinian Jihad Movement Khader Adnan, who had been on a hunger strike for 86 days in Israeli prison, Israel and Palestinian groups agreed to a ceasefire. It was stated that Egypt, Qatar and United Nations (UN) officials mediated the agreement.
After Khader Adnan, 37 rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip to the south of Israel, injuring twelve people.
