Leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan have arrived in the historic city of Turkestan for the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Ahead of the main sessions, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured a newly inaugurated grand mosque, which was built as a gift from Uzbekistan to symbolize the deep fraternal ties between the two nations. Furthermore, President Mirziyoyev held vital bilateral talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership and expand mutual trade. Their discussions placed a heavy emphasis on accelerating major regional infrastructure initiatives, particularly the highly anticipated China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project designed to boost economic connectivity across Central Asia.
