Child Beaten in Kindergarten Suffers Concussion in Kazakhstan

A student in a kindergarten class left unattended by the teacher, who went to get food, was beaten by other students for several minutes in Kazakhstan’s Almaty city. It was later reported that the child, who was taken to the hospital, had a brain concussion and bruises on his body. His condition was reported as non-life-threatening.

A parent told the local press that there has been no caregiver assigned to the kindergarten for a year, and the manager refused to assign one despite parents’ requests.

Almaty Governorship Education Administration announced that disciplinary punishment was given to the nursery manager and the teacher.
