Severe storms and rain that continued throughout the week caused floods in the central and southern parts of Chile. One person died when a tree fell on their tractor due to strong winds on Wednesday. Authorities said hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes, 2,300 houses were damaged, and 4,300 people were left homeless.
