A gas explosion in a residential building in Beichen District, Tianjin Municipality, north China, injured eight people Tuesday morning. According to local authorities, the explosion, which occurred around 7:15 a.m. and damaged the six-story building, did not result in any life-threatening injuries.
Rescue and relief efforts are currently underway, and the cause of the explosion is being investigated.
