China launched new experimental satellite

China successfully launched a new experiment satellite into space on Wednesday evening from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Facility in northwest China. The Shiyan-19 satellite was lifted off by a Long March-11 carrier rocket at 7:41 p.m. (Beijing time) and successfully entered its planned orbit.

The main missions for this experiment satellite are resource surveys on the land, urban planning, disaster mitigation and other tasks. It was the 467th mission in the Long March rocket series.
