China’s third aircraft carrier “Fujian” was launched in the morning at Jiangnan Shipyard in Chinese city of Shanghai. It’s been stated that the aircraft carrier, named after the China’s Fujian province, is the first aircraft carrier designed and built in China. Considered to rival its western counterparts and technically more advanced than other aircraft carriers in the fleet, Fujian is seen as an important milestone for China in the military field.
On the other hand, the date when the ship will be put into service isn’t known yet.
