A Chinese collector has opened a museum of bicycles to showcase part of the history of industrial revolution. Located in Lanzhou in northwest China’s Gansu Province, Sanmu Bicycle Museum has a collection of over 1,300 bicycles from around the world. The museum was founded by Chai Lin, a 67-year-old bicycle collector from Lanzhou, in 2019. Chai has been obsessed with gathering bicycles of various kinds since the 1970s. All of the bicycles showcased here are collected by himself, from countries including Japan, Italy and the Netherlands. Many of the exhibits were collected through auctions.
The museum has attracted over 900,000 tourists from across the country over the past two years.
