Civilians armed up by Ukrainian government in Kyiv

After the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s declaration of mobilization across the country, people began to join the army against the Russian soldiers. Weapons were distributed to the people behind trucks in the Obolon district in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, where clashes continue. Ukrainians lined up to receive the weapons that were delivered without being asked for identification and documents. “Thousands of people are uniting and joining the line to protect the region,” Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov said in a statement. “Today, 18,000 automatic weapons were distributed to the public in Kyiv,” he added.

Ukrainian government banned men aged between 18-60 to leave the country following declaration of martial law yesterday.
