Civilians across Ukraine are getting weapon training to defend their country against Russia’s attacks. They receive theoretical weapon training in Lviv, then participate in practical training and engage in conflicts. At a shooting range in the city, training on the use of weapons distributed to men and women of all ages is given. Civilians who receive close combat training are trained in many subjects from how to throw grenades to disassembly and assembly of weapons and aiming.
Andrey, who gave military training to civilians, said, “Everything is controlled. We also go to the shooting range with the soldiers. We cannot show the collection of automatic weapons, because we do not have automatic weapons. We can tell people how to use weapons. We shot with the soldiers many times in the range.”
The civilian named Andrei, who received training, said, “The enemy has come. We have to fight for our country, for our cities. My aim is to protect the state from enemies. Russia is no longer our friend, but enemy,” he said.
