Clashes Erupt in Georgia Over EU Talks Halt

Protests in Georgia intensified after the government’s decision to delay EU accession talks until 2028. Demonstrators clashed with police outside the parliament in Tbilisi for the fifth consecutive day. Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse crowds, while protesters responded with fireworks and erected barricades.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported 34 arrests and 12 injured officers. Demonstrations spread across the city, including Republic Square and Freedom Square, continuing into the morning hours despite police efforts to restore order.
