The 14-square-kilometer Arin Lake, also known as the bird paradise in Türkiye’s Bitlis province and home to nearly 200 bird species, has been visited by flamingos once again. The lake’s colorful guests, who come from Iran’s Lake Urmia and stay in Lake Arin every year, draw great attention from the citizens.
“There are hundreds of birds here, but the ones that attract our attention the most are the flamingos. I wish they never went away in the summer and winter. We are so used to them,” a citizen named İlhami Atalay said.
