Construction Halts River Flow, Sparks Algae Crisis in Türkiye’s Adana

Due to halted water flow for bridge construction and the High-Speed Train line in Adana, the Seyhan River has seen a significant build-up of algae and pollution, transforming it into an intense green color. The stagnant water has also allowed trash to accumulate and some birds have started nesting on moss piles. Disturbed by the unsightly pollution and unpleasant odor, locals are calling for immediate clean-up efforts.
