Continued Peace Talks Between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Kazakhstan

 

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan convened in Almaty, Kazakhstan, for discussions aimed at advancing the peace process between their nations. Hosted at the Friendship House, a significant venue for previous agreements, the meeting was heralded by Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu. Minister Bayramov underscored the talks’ importance, affirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to dialogue and cooperation towards normalization. He stated, “Our discussions mark a crucial step in fostering peace and stability in our region.” Additionally, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the symbolic nature of the venue, stressing Armenia’s dedication to peaceful resolution and the removal of transportation barriers. President of Kazakhstan Kasım Cömert Tokayev expressed support for the dialogue, recognizing the ministers’ commitment to preparing a peace agreement.
