Authorities reported that the crew member who disappeared after the fuel tanker “MT Terra Nova” sank off the coast of the Baatan region of the Philippines during the severe storm, triggered by Typhoon Gaemi, was found dead.
Three multi-purpose response ships were assigned to control the leak caused by the sinking of the tanker carrying 1.5 million liters of fuel and to prevent it from reaching the capital, Manila.
