Deadly 5.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Bangladesh

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Bangladesh with an epicenter near Nasringdi, about 40 kilometers from the capital Dhaka, killing three people and injuring three others.

The quake, recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, was felt across Dhaka and several nearby cities, as well as parts of India. Dhaka police said two people died on the spot and another in hospital after a railing from a five-story building collapsed onto pedestrians. Three others were injured while fleeing their homes in panic.

Authorities reported structural damage in Dhaka and other cities.
