Death Toll from Bomb Cyclone Rises to 2 in US

A woman died when a tree fell on her house due to the strong winds caused by the ongoing bomb cyclone in the US state of Washington, increasing the death toll from the cyclone to 2. Additionally, two people were injured when a tree fell on their trailer in Maple Valley, southeast of Seattle.

“Trees are falling and falling on houses in many parts of the city. If possible, go to the lowest floor, stay away from windows, and do not go outside,” stated Bellevue Fire Department.

Strong winds reaching 110 kilometers per hour in the state have caused numerous trees and power lines to fall, leaving 368,443 homes and businesses without power. The cyclone has also left 225,000 homes and businesses without power in Canadian province of British Columbia on the Pacific coast.
