Death Toll from Floods in Afghanistan Jumped to 344

The number of deaths in the floods that occurred after heavy rains in Takhar, Baghlan, Ghor, Herat and Badakhshan provinces of Afghanistan increased to 344. According to authorities, 315 of the deaths occurred in Baghlan, the region most affected by the disaster. It was also reported that 630 people were injured and around 1,000 cattle went missing.

London-based foundation Save The Children Fund sent medical teams to Baghlan for the safety of children and families.
