Death Toll from Floods in Italy Climbs to 6

Regional Government President Eugenio Giani in the Tuscany region of Italy announced that the number of people who died due to the flood triggered by Storm Ciaran reached 6. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini announced that approximately 48.000 people in the region were left without electricity. An initial budget of 5 million euros was allocated to the worst flood-hit areas.

Storm Ciaran also killed a total of 7 people in other European countries, including Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.
