Death Toll from Landslide in Ethiopia Rises to 257

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that the number of people who died in the landslide caused by heavy rains on Monday, July 22 in the Gofa region in southern Ethiopia increased to 257. Officials also said the death toll could be as high as 500 and more than 15,000 people had to be evacuated.

Ethiopian Red Cross sent 4 trucks full of humanitarian aid to the region.
