The death toll from landslides caused by heavy rainfall in the Wayanad district of the Indian state of Kerala, where search and rescue operations continue, has risen to 93 and the number of injured to 128.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the landslide occurred while villagers were asleep, which is why the number of victims is high.
