Kenyan Government Spokesperson announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the floods caused by heavy rains that have continued since mid-March has increased to 257 and the number of injured has increased to 188. The spokesman also noted that 293,661 people, 61 health facilities and 9,816 decares of agricultural land were affected by the flood.
“Flooding continues in most parts of the country and the latest weather forecasts indicate that heavy rainfall and storms will continue in 31 regions,” the spokesman said.
