Death Toll from Storm Trami Rises to 145 in Philippines

The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has reported that the death toll from Tropical Storm Trami, which hit the country’s northeast last week, has risen to 145 and the number of injuries to 115. It was also reported that the search for 37 missing people continues.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Tropical Storm Kon-rey, which is affecting the northern parts of the country’s largest island, Luzon, has become a super typhoon and is expected to reach Taitung on Taiwan’s mountainous southeastern coast tomorrow.
