Death Toll from Typhoon Shanshan Rises to 6 in Japan

Typhoon Shanshan, which has been causing heavy winds and rain in Japan for 3 days, caused 2 more days, making the total death toll 6. Authorities reported that the deaths, which occurred in Tokushima and Fukuoka prefectures, were caused by powerful winds and floods. It was also said that the number of people injured across the country has increased to 110.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said that the typhoon gradually lost its effect as of noon and turned into a tropical storm, but despite this, the risk of heavy rain continues in large parts of the country throughout the weekend.
