Death Toll From Venezuela Earthquakes Raises to 235

The death toll from the devastating 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes in Venezuela has climbed to 235, with at least 4,300 people reported injured. The massive tremors struck just 39 seconds apart, causing widespread destruction across multiple regions of the country. Confirming the escalating figures on state television, Health Minister Carlos Alvarado noted that while many injuries are minor, numerous patients have required surgery. Highlighting the tragic human cost, Alvarado stated, “Unfortunately, approximately 235 patients were brought to our facilities without showing signs of life or died upon arrival.”
