Death toll in forest fire in Kazakhstan rises to 14

The fire, which broke out three days ago in the Semey forest nature protection area in the Abay region of Kazakhstan and has turned an area of 60 thousand hectares into ash, continues. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan stated that 11 missing people were found dead, and the death toll has increased to 14.

On the other hand, it was reported that 56-year-old Sirim Shariphanov was appointed to replace the Minister of Emergency Situations Yuriy Ilyin, who was dismissed by President Kasım Cömert Tokayev for the late response to the fire.
