Death Toll Rises to 14 in Thailand–Cambodia Clashes

Renewed fighting along the Thailand–Cambodia border has killed at least 14 people and forced more than 500,000 civilians to evacuate. Thailand continues airstrikes with F-16 jets, while both sides accuse each other of targeting civilian areas.

Bangkok says Cambodian forces fired rockets at homes and schools, while Cambodia demands the release of 18 soldiers held by Thailand. Thai Prime Minister Anutin insists “there is no ceasefire.”

US President Donald Trump said he plans to call both leaders, claiming he can “stop this conflict with a phone call.”

The unrest also forced Cambodia to withdraw its athletes from the Southeast Asian Games in Bangkok.
