The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 23 Palestinians lost their lives and 39 were injured in 3 attacks carried out by Israeli forces in the last 24 hours, bringing the total loss of life to 45,361 and the number of injured to 107,803 since the beginning of the conflicts.
“According to UNICEF, 14,500 children have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the war. One child is killed every hour. These are not numbers. These are lives left unfinished. There is no justification for killing children. Those who survive are physically and mentally wounded. Deprived of education, girls and boys in Gaza are living amidst the rubble. Time is running out for these children. They are losing their lives, their futures and, most of all, their hope,” said Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), on social media.
Israel had announced that it would ban UNRWA from operating in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as of next month.
