Dense Fog Lingers Around Selimiye Mosque

Dense fog occurred in the morning hours in Edirne province, in Türkiye’s Thrace region. The fog cloud, which reduced the visibility to less than 50 meters, formed a fascinating atmosphere around the historical Selimiye mosque, which entered UNESCO’s List of World Heritage in 2011.

Known as the masterwork of Mimar Sinan, the mosque was built between 1568 and 1575.
