Severe storms struck the Dominican Republic, causing floods that resulted in the deaths of 21 individuals, including three children. Over 13,000 people were evacuated to safety, and the floods caused significant infrastructure damage. Investigations are ongoing, particularly into incidents such as a wall collapse that claimed nine lives in Santo Domingo. Among the deceased were four U.S. citizens and three Haitian nationals, marking a tragic aftermath as the country copes with the disaster’s impact.
