DR Congo: 26 killed after power cable collapsed at outdoor market

At least 26 people were killed after being electrocuted by a collapsed power cable at an open-air market in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s capital Kinshasa. The high-voltage cable broke apart and fell on houses and shoppers on the spot, killing 26 people, including 23 women. It is unclear what caused the cable to break.
