Unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the Umm Qasr Naval Base in Basra province, southern Iraq, during the night, security sources said. The base, which is also used by U.S. forces, was hit by four drones.
Two drones failed to reach their targets, while another crashed into a nearby water treatment plant and a fourth struck a pier inside the base. No information has been released on casualties, and security measures in the area have been increased.
