The Mileyha Wetland in the Samandağ district of Türkiye’s Hatay, which struggled with severe drought during the summer due to the 50-degree weather, came to life again thanks to the rainfall in recent days. Following the revival of the wetland, numerous birds flocked to the area again.
“I am a bird watcher, and I have been photographing birds with great pleasure for 3 years. The water almost completely receded in the summer due to an extreme drought. It was a difficult time for birds. The rainfall in November was insufficient, but the rain in the last few days has revived this place incredibly well. Thousands of ducks came back,” said Erol Yüksek.
