Turkish man turns his hobby of wooden engraving into art

Yüksel Katurman, a married father of one child, living in Tunceli in Türkiye, started to sculpt from stove wood at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite not receiving any training, he turned this hobby into art over time. Katurman creates many nearly professional artworks and engraves various figures, especially old human figures and wild animals living in the region, on walnut and oak trees. His greatest aspiration is to have an exhibition and make a living from his wood sculptures.
