The Netherlands has joined Germany in deploying naval forces to the Strait of Hormuz for a potential mine-clearing mission. The Dutch Ministry of Defence announced that a frigate, currently operating in the Indo-Pacific, is en route and will take several weeks to reach the area. This follows a statement from German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who confirmed that Germany has already sent two ships for the exact same purpose. The German minesweeper Fulda and supply ship Mosel are currently sailing through the Suez Canal toward the Red Sea.
