€88 Million Jewel Heist at Paris’s Louvre Museum

French prosecutors say jewels stolen from the Louvre Museum in Paris are valued at around €88 million. Investigators linked four suspects to the October 19 robbery and are analyzing fingerprints found at the scene.

The thieves entered through a window using a freight elevator, stole nine artifacts from the Apollo Gallery, and fled on motorcycles within seven minutes. A damaged crown belonging to Empress Eugenie was later recovered outside the museum.
