Seven people were killed and eight were injured in an armed attack that occurred at a Jehovah’s Witnesses church in Hamburg, Germany’s Alsterdorf district at approximately 9:00 p.m. local time yesterday. According to preliminary reports, the attack took place when around 40 individuals were present. Local sources have confirmed that the attacker took his own life following the incident.
While the cause and the identity of the attacker remain unknown, the police investigation at the scene is ongoing.
