Earthquake in Amanos Forms Natural Ponds in Türkiye

The Kahramanmaraş earthquakes caused over 50,000 deaths and significant damage to nature and buildings. Hatay was one of the cities most affected, with severe destruction in the hilly areas of Iskenderun district’s Değirmendere and Kaledibi districts. The falling rocks created natural ponds, and the Amanos Mountains’ lake view is located on the historical Silk Road in the Kaledibi district. The region’s asphalt roads also suffered significant damage.
