Afghanistan Earthquake Kills Over 250

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Kunar Province in eastern Afghanistan near Jalalabad, killing at least 250 people and injuring 500, according to state media.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit late at night at a depth of 8 kilometers. Officials warned the toll could rise as rescue efforts continue in the remote mountainous region.
