The 18th East-West Friendship and Silk Road Rally, featuring 12 vehicles and 28 athletes, arrived in Cappadocia. Supported by Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Directorate for European Union Affairs, the rally included Cappadocia as a key stop on its Türkiye leg. Participants reached Cappadocia at night and gathered at the hot air balloon take-off area in Göreme early the next morning to enjoy the balloons over the scenic landscape.
Nadir Serin, Chairman of the East-West Friendship and Peace Rally Association, stated, “This year marks the 18th East-West Rally and the 3rd Silk Road Rally. Cappadocia is our third stop in Türkiye. Next, we’ll head to Adıyaman Nemrut Mountain and then to Iran. We have athletes from five countries participating, traveling approximately 15,000 kilometers. Our route includes Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, China, and Mongolia.”
