Face-to-face education is suspended in kindergartens and primary schools, and the education goes online due to the forest fires in the city of Saltillo, located in the Mexico’s Coahuila state. In the statement made by the local authorities, it’s told that 2 separate fires broke out in close proximity to the Saltillo, and that ashfall was seen in some parts of the city due to the fire. It’s announced that the decision to suspend face-to-face education in schools was taken in order to not harm the students. The Coahuila state administration noted that there are currently 9 active forest fires across the state, and that the fight against these fires continues with the participation of firefighters and Mexican Army personnel, as well as 4 firefighting helicopters and 1 DC-10 type aircraft.
