The Turkish Teaching Center (TÖBİR) at the Ege University’s Institute of Turkish World Studies in Türkiye’s Izmir province, which has graduated many ministers and top officials such as Former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and former Turkestan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, continues to teach Turkish to countless people coming from abroad and provide them with International Turkish Proficiency Certificates within a year-long educational term.
“I am trying to get used to it. The first weeks here were very difficult because I am a foreigner, but now I feel good because I have met another culture thanks to my teachers and friends. We will prepare by the end of the year and take the YÖS (Foreign National Student Exam). Then I hope to enroll in the Ege University,” said Kelbet Doszhanova, a 17-year-old student.
A total of 1,596 students have graduated from TÖBİR in the last 6 years.
