Egypt’s Tourist Boat Sinks in Red Sea, 4 Dead, 12 Missing

 

A tourist boat carrying 44 people sank in the Red Sea near Marsa Alam, Egypt, after being struck by massive waves. Authorities confirmed that four bodies have been recovered, while 31 people have been rescued. Search efforts continue for 12 missing passengers.

The boat, “Sea Story,” capsized within minutes, according to Red Sea Governor Amr Hanefi. Among those on board were tourists from Spain, Britain, Germany, Ireland, Finland, and the USA, while the crew comprised Egyptian nationals. Rescue operations are ongoing.
