El Salvador Burns $67.5 Million Worth of Cocaine

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, El Salvador’s Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced the destruction of approximately 3 tons of cocaine, worth $67.5 million. The cocaine was seized in maritime operations on May 19 and 24. The confiscated drugs were burned in an open area. Seven individuals, including two Ecuadorians, three Mexicans, and two Colombians, were arrested and remain in prison.
