El Salvador football stadium stampede leaves 12 dead

In a football match between Alianza and Moroccan teams in San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, the fans entered the stadium and formed a stampede. Health Minister Francisco Alabi stated that 12 people died and 90 people were injured, including children. The condition of the injured was stated to be good.

The Salvadoran Football Federation announced that football matches to be held in the country on Sunday will be postponed and that they will provide support to the families of those who lost their lives.
