Election Fraud Allegations Under Investigation in Georgia: Zourabichvili Summoned

The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office announced that an investigation had been launched into allegations of election fraud by the ruling pro-Russian Georgian Dream Party, which won the general elections held on Saturday, October 26, following a request from the Central Election Commission. It was reported that Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, who is believed to have evidence, will be summoned tomorrow and that other people who may have information about possible criminal elements will be questioned as well.

“I do not recognize these elections. It is impossible to recognize these elections. Recognizing this would mean recognizing Russia’s interference. The elections held on October 26 were completely fraudulent,” said President Zourabichvili the day after the Georgian Dream Party won its 4th consecutive victory in the elections with 53.93 percent of the votes.
