Electric Car Crashes Into Bangkok Temple

An electric car crashed into the 68-year-old Guanyin Temple in Bangkok’s Chinatown, Thailand, striking three people inside. The accident occurred when the elderly driver suddenly lost consciousness at the wheel and accidentally pressed the gas pedal, sending the vehicle directly into the shrine. Two of the victims are currently in serious condition, and the historic property sustained structural damage. According to police, witnesses stated that “the driver had health problems related to high blood pressure,” which likely caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
