A farewell ceremony for a Syrian child at a primary school in Istanbul touched hearts. Muhammed, a student who arrived from Gaziantep after the earthquake, was returning to Syria with his family. His teacher, Nalan Oktay, organized a heartfelt send-off, with classmates lining up to hug and shake hands with him.
Teacher Nalan Oktay, who recorded the emotional moments, said, “We aim to touch the pure world of children and leave a positive mark. Muhammed joined us last year, anxious after coming from the earthquake zone. This farewell was spontaneous, meant to give him a beautiful memory as he leaves. Every child we touch is a value we gain.”
