Erdoğan Calls for Arms Embargo Against Israel at OIC Summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League. Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, Erdoğan was welcomed before proceeding to the summit venue, where he joined other leaders for a group photo alongside Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Tajikistani President Emomali Rahman.

At the summit, Erdoğan called on Islamic nations to take a firm stance against Israel, advocating for an arms embargo, halting trade, and isolating Israel internationally until its military actions end. He emphasized, “Israel aims to annex Gaza, erase the Palestinian presence in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. We must prevent this.”
