Speaking at the Türkiye-Malaysia Strategic Cooperation in the New Century meeting in Malaysia, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan strongly condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, calling them “one of the most barbaric genocides of the last century.” He reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and rejected any plans to displace them, stating, “With God’s permission, no one has the power to make the Palestinian people experience a second Nakba, and no one will.”
Erdoğan emphasized the deep ties between Türkiye and Malaysia, expressing his hope for stronger cooperation in the future. He also highlighted global inequalities, criticizing the post-World War II powers for shaping international rules to their advantage.
Referring to the destruction in Gaza, he stressed that Israel must be held accountable for the estimated $100 billion in damage. “Israel cannot continue as if nothing happened after causing so much destruction and massacre,” he said. Erdoğan called on the international community to demand justice and ensure the reconstruction of Gaza.
